In-game Photography
GTA 5 Online
I'm not really someone many would call a gamer, I don't really play. I play maybe a few times over a few months but when I do play, I can get very intense while playing. Let's take a look at GTA for example, when I play, it's online & I blow people up, switching between sessions. When other people have their in-game communications on for the public to hear, you can hear all the online players I blowup lose it, I've captured many of those funny moments. These photos taken in-game is pretty much a still of what I do online in a invite only session. While growing up, I played GTA vice city, my first exposure to beating prostitutes with a bat. When I play GTA, it's like taking a glimpse back into the good parts my childhood, one with very little good in it. You'll see some of these photos in my YouTube shorts, edited to look like traveling business photos. As you can see, most of the selfies contain vehicle related deaths.
RDR2 Online
RDR2 has to be my favorite rockstar game, If you hit someone with an arrow at the right time & place, they bleed out slowly, giving you a dramatic performance as they parish. It's kinda like traveling back into time, you got your news paper boy screaming extra & all your little vendors around the map, let's not forget the lasso & how you're able to detain people before looting & killing them. If you got a re-enforced lasso, you can abduct other players. As a photographer, I appreciate the game mechanics around in-game photography, the ability to download photos taken in-game is like a chefs kiss. As you can see below, the photographs taken within RDR2 is nothing like in GTA5, I'm more forgiving on how I kill the NPC's because a hit & run using the wagon is a little more difficult than using a modern vehicle. The fact that you can leave a fully mutilated body behind is pretty insane itself. As you can see, not all photos are selfies, some are just the bodies themselves. If you're wondering if you're able to take photos in story mode, you can & it's pretty much the same without a pesky player ruining your photo shoot.
If you're a red dead redemption or grand theft auto fan, consider subscribing to me on YouTube & following me on the official stoned photography live stream powered by owncast, a self hosted rtmp streaming server. With owncast, I can play copyright music without getting hit with restrictions on my live stream, making it possible to showcase products with my photographs within the website when the time comes. It'll feature custom cannabis themed emojis & even my logo as an emoji, you could even become an emoji, just ask after I get the streaming server officially online.
I literally just created this gallery to pretty much show appreciation towards the in-game photography feature, it's a feature many overlook or may not know about. I'm not sure if any other games have such features besides the two most popular rockstar games. If you know of any games with this feature, please feel free to let me know when I go live or down in the YouTube comment section, I'll be more than happy to check it out & take goofy photos in-game for here.
