I noticed a dark cloud of smoke from my bedroom window, thinking it was from someone using their fireplace. When I heard the fire engines from a few blocks away, I got my camera & ran to where I seen the smoke. When I arrived at 1301 university terrace with my camera, I seen the firefighters rushing to get their equipment, including a chain saw for cutting into the roof. The fire started at around 7:00AM on January 18, 2026. Emergency services arrived about 3-5 minutes after being noticed
