Like what one of the protesters said last week, there was a protest today. The protest began at 11:00 AM, giving me time to buy a drink cup full of collard greens. Protesters gathering around at the city plaza beforehand. After buying my collard greens, I walked to the city plaza, taking a photo here & there. At around 11:00am, protesters started to head to the Virginia street bridge. Police were around the protest, ensuring everything goes along alright, making it difficult for a republican to do a hit & run like last week.

I feel like the police presence helped keep things in order, at least harder to do a hit & run. You'll notice many bicycle & wondering cops if you were there, telling driers to move along when they stop for a period of time. If you've seen my last blog & photographs, you'll notice familiar faces & some new faces. With those new faces came new signs, including a Eric Cartman sign held by one of the young female protesters. Other protesters dressed up, one protester wearing a monkey mask while a female protester was wearing cloths that may have been worn by our founding fathers.

The protest was going pretty well, music playing & some protesters dancing. About 12:05pm, a trump supporter was driving over the Virginia street bridge, calling many protesters "pussies" & making other idiotic statements. Frankly, it was a pretty ironic exchange, insulting protesters in your vehicle is something a coward does. Talking to a female protester a few feet away, every person has their own way to deal with idiots, She was all about positivity while I was the total opposite, spewing insults back.
