If you're a Reno local, you know how there isn't really a dull moment. While on my way home with my family, I seen police activity at 205 east 4th street, a hospitality establishment that I see as the opposite, hostile would be the better choice of words. When at the red light I got out of the vehicle to record the exciting event. You can see at least 5 police cars, at least 10 officers & a K9. You can see the dude walking towards the officers as he's directed to turn around with his hands up.
It took dude at least 15 seconds to turn around, not realizing that the only option is a taser. I was hoping for the taser but you get what you get. Knowing the history of this area, it's safe to say he was an addict having a bad day, alcoholism is an addiction after all, could be meth though, not sure. On the left you can see him by one of the police cars, on the right you can see the police enter his unit.
Update: The man in cuffs is a 79 year old man who had robbed the US bank located at 300 south Virginia street. He handed a note to one of the staff, demanding money. Reno police department secured a warrant at 4:00PM. The 79 year old bank robber had been identified as Jack Van Eaton Jr. If you're interested in seeing the arrest, you can check the video out on my YouTube channel, It's called "Bank Robber Arrested At Fireside".
