It was a cold Sunday morning when emergency services received a call at around 6:45am. Not aware the black thick smoke wasn't somebodies fireplace, I went on with my day until hearing fire engines. After I seeing flashing blue & red lights from the general direction of the smoke, I grabbed my camera & ran to the scene. It was 7:05am when I arrives at the scene, recording the event between raley's & the laundromat. I recorded the scene from different angles, only stopping to take photographs or move to different spots.
I seen the firemen running around, grabbing their equipment from the fire trucks, including two chain saws. A hole was cut into the roof of the house to provide vertical ventilation for the fire. After the hole was cut into the roof, it didn't take long for the fire to be put out. I seen a section of the roof collapse, it was a 3 foot section near the front of the house by the window. I wasn't able to record anything more than what you see on my YouTube, my camera had died since I didn't charge it the previous night. One of the firemen asked if I knew who lived there, I didn't since I live a few streets away, that being said, nobody was hurt.
I sent some of the video to KTVN, posted the full video on my YouTube channel. If you're going to watch it, ignore the cuts in the video, you can't take photographs while recording. You'll be able to see the photographs I've taken of the event when you click the button bellow.
