The Arlington avenue bridges project was completed not to long ago, officially reopening on June 9, 2026. The construction frustrated many Reno locals, the wingfield park was closed off, businesses experienced reduced traffic but nobody is too sure by how much or exactly which businesses were affected. The construction wasn't really ideal for most, now we're facing a new whole project in the downtown area.
The Sierra street bridge does have some visible damage, the edges are a bit chipped on the bottom of the barrier rails. The estimated cost of this project is around $33,822,128, it'll be funded primarily through federal programs. The design phase will continue throughout the middle of 2026, the construction is expected to begin in spring of 2027. Now you all might already know this if you're a Reno local, I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone talking about the future construction, not even one mention.
